Several men were wounded and the remainder scattered. Sapper LUPTON dragged one man to shelter and then, regardless of his own risk went for a stretcher, which he obtained, and with the assistance of another man, carried the wounded man away. He set a splendid example of coolness and courage under very trying conditions.'
