Military Medal 'At WESTHOEK this stretcher bearer showed particular courage and coolness. Whilst holding Front Line on 21st instant enemy heavily shelled same, and damaged an advanced strong post, wounding three men of the garrison. Private LYON immediately dashed out to the post, extricated and bandaged the wounded, and helped to bring them to safety.'
