Wounded in action, 25 June 1915 (gun shot wound, back), and admitted to HMS 'Gascon', and admitted to No 1 Australian Stationary Hospital; disembarked Alexandria, 2 July 1915; transferred to No 2 General Hospital, Ghezireh, 5 July 1915 (ear trouble); discharged to duty, 19 July 1915.

Embarked Alexandria, 1 August 1915; rejoined Bn, Gallipoli, 4 August 1915.

Killed in action, 8 August 1915.
