Statement, 4270 Pte A.C. CAMERON, 54th Bn (patient, 1st Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Harefield, England), 9 October 1916: 'He was alright after the attack on that date [19-20 July 1916] at Armentieres, fir (sic) he came up and spoke to me as I lay wounded in the trench, when it was over on the 20/7/16. I don't know what happened after, I was taken away to the Dressing Station, the Germans were bombarding the trench.'
