Military Medal 'On the nights 15/16 and 16/17 February 1916 he was in charge of a motor lorry delivering detonated bombs to 'WOODCOTE FARM' and beyond. On the return journey he towed two ration limbers, whose horses had been shelled, from near ZILLEBEKE back to the 17th Division Bomb Store. On the morning of 16th February 1916 he towed another lorry out of a bog near VOORMEZEELE. The roads were under shell fire during the whole period.'
