Military Medal

'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty during the advance near LE VERQUIER on the 18th September, 1918. Private MARRON with the effective skilful use of his lewis gun took up a position in advance of the objective inflicting a number of casualties on the retreating enemy and showing an utter disregard for the enemy machine gun fire. His confidence throughout set a fine example of courage and determination to the members of his platoon, a number of whom were new reinforcements, being in action for the first time.'
