LAWS, B Company, 59th Bn (patient, 3rd London General Hospital, Wandsworth, England)), 26 December 1916: 'I saw the grave marked by a cross of Pte A.C. Mathews (sic) in the Sailly Cemetery Nr. Armentieres and reported it to Lieut. Bursey. Cpl. Barret who was walking with me also saw it. About the 1st Aug.'
