Military Medal 'For distinguished gallantry on 25th February, 1917, near WARLENCOURT, Sergeant McCORMACK was in command of his platoon under heavy machine gun fire at DINKUM SPUR. He led his men forward with great coolness and skill right up to the enemy's wire and eventually withdrew them in good order on receipt of instructions.'
