Embarked Sydney on 'Wiltshire', 7 February 1917; disembarked Devonport, 11 April 1917, and marched into 1st Australian Railway Section. Proceeded to France with 6th Australian Railway Operations Company, 14 May 1917.

On leave to United Kingdom, 10 August 1918; rejoined unit from leave, 25 August 1918; to Paris on leave, 16 February 1919; rejoined unit from leave, 27 February 1919. Proceeded to England from Australian Divisional Base Depot, Havre, 1 May 1919; marched into No 3 Group, Codford, 2 May 1917.
