On the 29th September 1918, Eat of RONSSOY, No. 265, Sergeant McCULLOCH, in an obscure situation, under heavy artillery and machine gun fire and in an enemy smoke screen - by his example of fearlessness, coolness and determination, kept his men together, and performed a very difficult task, in expeditiously opening up a section of the Blue road allotted him. The successful completion of the job with very few casualties, was undoubtedly due to this Non Commissioned Officers skilful handling of the men - brilliant leadership, initiative and powers of endurance, for which he is deserving of the greatest praise.'
