Wounded in action, Gallipoli, 19 June 1915 (gun shot wound, left thigh); treated at Casualty Clearing Station, Anzac Cove; transferred to HS 'Gascon'; transferred to Mudros, 21 June 1915, and admitted to No. 2 Australian Stationary Hospital. Transferred to Malta, 16 July 1915.
