Found guilty, 3rd Field Bakery, Larkhill, 26 October 1916, of being absent without leave, 25 October 1916: awarded 4 days' Field Punishment No 2.

Proceeded overseas to France, 21 November 1916.

Admitted to No 30 General Hospital, Calais, 18 November 1917 (not yet diagnosed); discharged and rejoined 3rd Field Bakery, Calais, 27 November 1917 (influenza).
