Medals |
Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty during the operations west of BRAY on 22nd/23rd August, 1918. Corporal McINTYRE did especially good work while in charge of the mopping up party. He successfully cleared several dugouts and captured many prisoners. He led his party with wonderful dash and the greatest daring. On reaching the final objective he went forward with a lewis gun and covered our consolidation. He used his gun with great promptitude and accuracy during the counter attacks, and by his splendid efforts he considerably assisted in our holding firm when our left flank was in the air. Throughout this N.C.O. displayed courage, ability and initiative of the highest order.'
