Found guilty, 3 January 1917 of conduct to the prejudice of good order and military discipline, in that he, on 29 December 1916 at El Arish, when ordered to clean up the fodder heap, relied speak to me with civility not like a dog: awarded 96 hours Field Punishment No 2.
