Military Medal 'On the night of the 20th and morning of the 21st September 1917 Trooper McKENZIE showed great courage, skill and coolness under heavy shell fire whilst on traffic duty near YPRES. By his efforts the passage of the Infantry to the front line was greatly facilitated, he also assisted in directing the wounded, and doing stretcher bearer's work and was instrumental in helping munitions and food to be brought up to the men in the front line.'
