Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty during the attack on our line opposite ALBERT and DERNANCOURT on the 5th April 1918. Although wounded, this N.C.O. continued to serve his gun single handed when the remainder of the detachment were wounded, and unable to perform their duties. He showed great courage and set a fine example to his men throughout the day.'
