'At about 8.45 a.m., 29th September 1918, Private McNAMEE, who was in rear of the Company, saw a party of Germans on the left of the sunken road through BELLICOURT. With great courage he immediately hopped out and led 3 American Infantry across and took the party prisoners, although they showed fight, totalling about 40 O.Rs and 2 Officers, whose maps were sent in.'
