Embarked Sydney, 19 December 1917; disembarked Suez, 16 January 1918. Embarked Port Said, 25 January 1918; disembarked Taranto, Italy, 2 February 1918. Entrained Taranto, 5 February 1918; detrained Cherbourg, France, 12 February 1918. Embarked Cherbourg, 12 February 1918; disembarked Southampton, England, 13 February 1918, and marched in to Pioneer Training Bn, Sutton Veny.

Admitted to Military Hospital, Sutton Veny, 19 March 1918 (measles); discharged to No 1 Command Depot, 16 April 1918.

Transferred to 4th Pioneer Bn, 16 May 1918.

Proceeded overseas to France, 22 August 1918.

Embarked for England for return to Australia, 20 May 1919.

Found guilty, 13 October 1919, of failing to comply with an order givebn by a superior Officer: awarded 7 days' Field Punishment No 2.

Commenced return to Australia on board HT 'Nestor', 1 November 1919; disembarked Melbourne, 10 December 1919; discharged, Sydney, 15 January 1920.
