Found guilty, 11 November 1916, of (1) insolence to an non commissioned officer; (2) disobeying a lawful command given by his superior officer; (3) being absent from 1800 hours, 8 November 1916, until 1800 hours, 9 November 1916: award, forfeits 3 days' pay.

Found guilty, 2 December 1916, of (1) refusing to obey an order given by a superior officer; (2) being absent without leave from 1015 hours, until 1045 hours, 25 November 1916; (3) escaping from an escort: awarded 10 days' detention.

Found guilty, 11 December 1916, of being absent without leave from 1700 hours, until 2230 hours, 15 December 1916: forfeits 2 days' pay.

Disembarked Plymouth, England, 9 January 1917, and admitted to Sutton Veny Hospital the same day.

Marched into 13th Training Bn, Codford, 25 January 1917.

Found guilty, 2 March 1917, of being absent without leave from 27 February 1917, until 0800 hours, 2 March 1917: awarded 14 days' Field Punishment No 2 and total forfeiture of 17 days' pay.
