Military Medal 'During the attack on the BEAUREVOIR Line, east of PERONNE, on 3rd October, 1918, after the capture of our objective, this man voluntarily went forward with a Lewis gun under heavy machine gun and rifle fire, and protected his platoon while they were mopping up. From an exposed position, he then rendered covering fire to the 26th Battalion who passed through the 25th Battalion to a further objective.'
