Military Medal

'During the period midnight 16th/17th September, 1918, to 11th November, 1918, Private MORGAN has carried out the duties of a stretcher bearer in this Battalion. On 18th September, 1918, during operations in front of JEANCOURT this man showed fine devotion to duty in tending the wounded of his platoon who were engaged in making a track. After tending the wounded of his platoon he gallantly went out into the open under heavy machine gun fire and tended other wounded and finally brought them back to safety. His act of courage inspired his comrades and it was due to his coolness and fine example that the work was satisfactorily completed. During the above period, when on the march and at all times he has carried out duties of stretcher bearer excellently - tending feet of men to which was largely due to the maintenance of the marching powers of his platoon.'
