Military Medal 'During a heavy bombardment of WESTHOEK RIDGE at about 5 p.m. on 27th September, 1917, a cry for help was heard about 100 yards from Dressing Station at WESTHOEK RIDGE, east of YPRES where Private MORRIS was stationed. He immediately proceeded to the spot, tended the man's wounds and assisted him to the Dressing Station, being exposed to intense shell fire without cover all the time.'
