Military Medal

'During the attack on PERONNE on 1st September 1918 Lance Corporal MOSTYN displayed great initiative and coolness. He led his men in a very cool and steady manner, controlling them and directing them with great precision throughout the attack. On formation of new line he quickly proceeded with the work of consolidation and worked personally as an observer. Very useful information was sent back as the direct result of his efforts. he inspired confidence in all men under him by his own efforts, and his coolness, steadiness and powers of command were very conspicuous. His work undoubtedly is deserving of special mention and I strongly recommend him for the Military Medal.'
