Military Medal 'Pioneer Mundy acted as Stretcher Bearer during the attack on HINDENBURG LINE South of REINCOURT on 11th April 1917. He displayed great courage and a rare sense of duty whilst acting as Stretcher Bearer and was instrumental with his comrades in getting over fifty of our wounded from No Man's Land under very heavy Machine Gun and Rifle Fire. His unselfish conduct merits recognition.'
