Military Medal 'At VILLE-SUR-ANCRE near ALBERT on 11th June, 1918 in broad daylight this man, unaccompanied, crept out a distance of 150 yards to an enemy post. The post was occupied by 2 Germans, both of whom he killed with a Mills Bomb. Other enemy rushed to the post and a bombing duel ensued in which MUNTRO inflicted several casualties. Although severely wounded in the abdomen and buttock, under heavy rifle and Machine Gun fire he managed to regain our trenches. Prior to his action enemy snipers were very active from this post.'
