'During operations at BROODSEINDE RIDGE east of YPRES from 30th Sept., to 8th Oct., 1917, L/Cpl MUNT was in charge of the ration parties daily. He showed great leadership on all occasions and kept up supplies reguarly regardless of enemy barrage, machine gun and sniper's fire. On one occasion this N.C.O. volunteered to bring forward an extra supply of wate after having just returned to the lines with the rations. This he carried out successfully during daylight passing through the most trying and demoralising enemy shell fire.'
