Meritorious Service Medal 'For conspicuous good service and devotion to duty on numerous occasions especially during operation in front of ALBERT and at MONT ST. QUENTIN between March and September 1918. C.Q.M.S. MURDOCH has carried out his duties, frequently under fire in most efficient manner and his organisation of transport for supply of R.E. stores during bridging works carried out by this Company during operations resulting in the capture of MONT ST. QUENTIN was of the greatest value. His loyal services for nearly three years have been a fine example to his comrades.'
