Military Medal 'On the morning of the 15th April, 1917 in the vicinity of LONGATTE, the 43rd Battery was heavily shelled. Gunner MURRAY was the only man on his gun who was not a casualty, and while still remaining under heavy shell fire he displayed great pluck and coolness in getting the wounded men away to a place of safety.'
