Military Medal

'During operations at BROODSEINDE RIDGE east of YPRES on 6th Oct., 1917, Pte. BEVERLEY was conspicuous by his consistent good work and gallantry. On one occasion when carrying rations to the front line several of his party were wounded. Though subjected to intense enemy shell fire this soldier with great coolness assisted to carry them to the aid post and eventually finished his journey and delivered the rations at their destination.'
