War service: Egypt, Gallipoli Admitted to 1st Australian Dermatological Hospital, Abbassia, 26 June 1915; discharged, 29 June 1915; total period of treatment for venereal disease: 4 days. Wounded in action, Gallipoli, 27 August 1915 (gun shot wound, finger, left hand), and admitted to 16th Casualty Clearing Station; transferred to hospital. Malta, 11 September 1915; to England, 26 September 1915, and admitted to 3rd Western General Hospital, Cardiff, 4 October 1915. Admitted to 3rd London General Hospital, 23 October 1915; transferred to No 2 Command Depot, Weymouth, 19 May 1916. Taken on permanent establishment of No 2 Command Depot, 25 November 1916.
