Embarked Alexandria to join the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force (Gallipoli Campaign), 25 August 1915.

Transferred to, and taken on strength of 2nd Light Horse Regiment, Gallipoli, 29 August 1915.

Admitted to No 1 Australian Casualty Clearing Station, 29 August 1915 (gonorrhoea); transferred to Mudros, 29 August 1915; to No 1 Stationary Hospital, Lemnos, 1 September 1915; to Convalescent Depot, Lemnos, 3 September 1915; discharged, 2 December 1915; total period of treatment for venereal disease: 96 days.

Disembarked Alexandria, 10 January 1916.

Taken on strength of 11th Light Horse, Heliopolis, 22 February 1916.

Marched out to C.G. & C. Base Depot, Tel el Kebir, 26 April 1916.

Marched out to Serapeum, 17 May 1916.

Struck off the strength of 11th Light Horse Regiment, 8 March 1917, and taken on strength of 4th Light Horse Bde Machine Gun Squadron, Ferry Post, the same day.

Found guilty, 26 September 1917, of conduct to the prejudice of good order, and military discipline, in that on the morning of 20 September 1917, he created a disturbance in Squadron lines: awarded 6 days' Field Punishment No 2, and total forfeiture of 6 days' pay.

To Rest Camp, Port Said, 20 January 1918; rejoined unit, 2 February 1918.

Admitted to No 4 Light Horse Field Ambulance, 6 June 1918 (not yet diagnosed); discharged, 7 June 1918, and rejoined unit the same day.

Evacuated to hospital, 17 October 1918; admitted to No 4 Light Horse Field Ambulance, Kuneitra, 19 October 1918 (lobar pneumonia).

Died, No 4 Light Horse Field Ambulance, 19 October 1918.

Buried by Chaplain J. Best, 19 October 1918.
