Sergeant, 30 October 1917; reverted to Gunner, 22 July 1918.

Proceeded overseas to France, 25 July 1918; taken on strength, 3rd Divisional Ammunition Column, 14 August 1918; transferred to 7th Field Artillery Brigade, 25 September 1918.

Admitted to 7th Stationary Hospital, 24 February 1919 (bronchitis, severe); transferred to England and admitted to The King George Hospital, London, 2 March 1919.
