Other details from Roll of Honour Circular'My 3 sons, Frederick Charles, Albert Thomas and Nelson William, all enlisted in the Australian Forces. Fred the 1st day of the war, Albert about November 19th & Nelson a few weeks afterwards. Albert & Nelson were both killed on the same day in France. Fred was one of the first Australians to get a commission. He is now a Lieutenant in the Royal Engineers in Egypt. Their parents are consoled with the fact that they were faithful & brave even unto death.' (details from father)
