Military Medal 'On 30th September, 1918, during the operations against the HINDENBURG Line, in the neighbourhood of BELLICOURT, he was in charge of a forward road party clearing and maintaining tactical roads. While under heavy enemy shell and machine gun fire he showed absolute disregard of personal danger and through his coolness and fine example highly valuable work was completed, under the most trying conditions. 2/Corporal O'HALLORAN also ably assisted his Sergeant, who was in charge of the whole party engaged on this Section.'
