Military Medal 'For conspicuous bravery and devotion to duty. During the operations near CHUIGNOLLES on 23rd and 24th August, 1918, Private O'TOOLE was in charge of a squad of bearers working from the foremost R.A.P. He repeatedly led his squads across heavily shelled country to get out wounded, and showed a fine example of courage and endurance.'
