Wounded in action, 1 June 1916 (bullet wound, thigh), and admittred to 1st Light Horse Field Ambulance, and transferred same day to Lowland Field Ambulance and thence to Temporary Casualty Clearing Station; to 31st General Hospital, Port Said, 2 June 1916; to HS 'Gascon', and disembarked Alexandria, 6 June 1916, and admitted to 19th General Hospital, Alexandria, 7 June 1916; transferred to Convalescent Hospital, Ras el Tin, 5 July 1916; discharged to unit, 1 August 1916; rejoined unit, Romani, 6 August 1916. Sick to hospital, 5 October 1916, and admitted to 26th Casualty Clearing Station; transferred to 31st General Hospital, Port Said, 7 October 1916 (tonsilitis); discharged to duty, 8 November 1916; rejoined unit, Arnussi, 23 November 1916.
