'During attack on MONTBREHAIN, north of ST. QUENTIN, on 5th October, 1918, while advancing to the final position the Company was strongly counter attacked and a platoon that was somewhat advanced was in danger of being cut off. Despite heavy fire from the enemy who had shelter from a bank Private OLLIS accompanied his Officer in rushing the enemy party from a flank. They killed a German Officer, wounded another, and captured and brought in the whole of the hostile party numbering forty. The post contained three heavy and five light machine guns.'
