Proceeded overseas to France, 2 November 1917; marched in to Australian General Base Depot, Rouelles, 3 November 1917. Admitted to 39th General Hospital, Havre, 6 November 1917 (eczema); discharged to duty, 22 November 1917. Taken on strength, 4th Field Ambulance, in the field, 9 December 1917. Admitted to 20th Casualty Clearing Station, 23 July 1918 (scarlet fever); transferred to Ambulance Train No16, 2 August 1918, and admitted to 52nd Stationary Hospital, Havre (scarlet fever and appendicitis); transferred to 2nd General Hospital, 18 September 1918; to England, 24 September 1918, and admitted to 5th Southern General Hospital, Portsmouth; transferred to 3rd Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Dartford, 6 November 1918; discharged on furlough, 12 November 1918, to report to No 1 Command Depot, Sutton Veny, 26 November 1918.
