Embarked Fremantle, 29 June 1917; disembarked Plymouth, England, 25 August 1917, and marched in to No 3 Training Bn, Durrington.

Proceeded overseas to France, 16 January 1918; joined 11th Bn, in the field, 22 January 1918.

Wounded in action, 1 April 1918 (gassed), and admitted to 1st Australian Field Ambulance, and transferred to 11th Casualty Clearing Station; to Ambulance Train No 12, 3 April 1918, and admitted to 55th General Hospital, Boulogne; transferred to England, 11 April 1918, and admitted to 1st Southern General Hospital, Monyhall, Birmingham; discharged on furlough, 15 April 1918, to report to No 4 Command Depot, Hurdcott, 29 April 1918.

Marched in to No 4 Command Depot, 29 April 1918.

Marched out to Overseas Training Brigade, Longbridge Deverill, 8 July 1918.

Proceeded overseas to France, 3 August 1918; rejoined 11th Bn, in the field, 13 August 1918.

Detached for duty with 1st Australian Motor Transport Company, 9 January 1919; rejoined Bn from detachment, 17 January 1919.
