Military Medal 'At BELLICOURT and NAUROY on 29th/30th September and 1st October 1918. For bravery and devotion to duty. He led his Platoon with skill and coolness over open ground under heavy Machine Gun fire and successfully reached a portion of the LECATELET TRENCH and secured prisoners. He led his Platoon successfully during the advance to the Railway Cutting on night 29th/30th September and consolidated his position. He led his Platoon during the attack on afternoon of 1st October and displayed great courage until he was severely wounded.'
