Meritorious Service Medal 'For consistent good work during the period from 22nd September to 24th October, 1917. On October 6th 1917 east of YPRES this Warrant Officer was in charge of a party detailed to carry ammunition to the front line and through his ability and courage important stores that were urgently needed reached their destination. He has always been most zealous in the performance of his duty and has set a spendid example to the N.C.O.s and men of his Company.'
