Meritorious Service Medal 'For consistent devotion to duty: - Since 25th February 1918, this Non Commissioned Officer has been in charge of a Company Signal Section, and has, on many occasions, displayed great energy and cheerfulness, and admirable devotion to duty, under most adverse and difficult circumstances, in establishing telephonic communication between his Company Headquarters and Battalion Headquarters. During recent operations since the 8th August, 1918 this Non Commissioned Officer, by his untiring efforts and determination, has shown great ability in successfully maintaining telephonic communication with the most advanced troops.'
