Military Medal 'At POZIERES on night of 12th/13th August, 1916. Acted as runner between Company Headquarters in front line and Battalion Headquarters and Left Battalion of flank Brigade. He was frequently under very heavy shell fire but was quite fearless and absolutely reliable.'
