Taken on strength, 2nd Reserve Regiment, Maadi, 1 March 1916; transferred to 7th Light Horse Regiment, 30 April 1916; reported to Regiment, Hill 70, 13 May 1916.

Admitted to 2nd Light Horse Field Ambulance, Bir Etmaler, 15 August 1916 (diarrhoea); transferred to Lowlands Field Ambulance, 16 August 1916; rejoined Regiment, 18 August 1916.

Admitted to 54th Casualty Clearing Station, 1 April 1917 (contusion, arm: kick), and transferred same day to 53rd Welch Casualty Clearing Station; to Ambulance Train, 2 April 1917, and admitted to 2nd Australian Stationary Hospital, El Arish; transferred to 24th Stationary Hospital, Kamtara, 3 April 1917; to 14th Australian General Hospital, Abbassia, 4 April 1917; discharged to 2nd Light Horse Training Regiment, Moascar, 4 May 1917.
