'This N.C.O. has carried out the duties of B.Q.M.S. with the 2nd Australian D.A.C. during the period September to November, 1918. His work has been of the highest standard and he has rendered splendid service by maintaining supplies of technical stores to the batteries under most adverse conditions. By his untiring energy and devotion to duty this N.C.O. has been of the greatest assistance to his Unit and has set a splendid example to all by his cheerfulness and high standard of efficiency.'
