Admitted to Isolation Hospital, 14 February 1918 (scabies); marched in to 1st Training Bn, Sutton Veny, from hospital, 21 February 1918.

Proceeded overseas to France, 23 April 1918; taken on strength, 12th Bn, in the field, 28 April 1918.

Admitted to 3rd Australian Field Ambulance, 19 June 1918 (influenza); discharged, 26 June 1918; rejoined Bn, in the field, 28 June 1918.

Admitted to 3rd Australian Field Ambulance, 21 July 1918 (influenza); transferred to 58th Casualty Clearing Station, 21 July 1918 (trench fever); to 2nd Canadian Stationary Hospital, 24 Jul;y 1918; to No 1 Convalescent Depot, Boulogne, 2 August 1918; to Base Depot, Havre, 8 August 1918; rejoined Bn, in the field, 20 August 1918.

Transferred to Australian Corps Headquarters, 25 December 1918, and detached for duty with Australian YMCA.

Sick to hospital, 19 January 1919; admitted to 7th General Hospital, 4 February 1919 (venereal disease); transferred to England, 4 February 1919, and admitted same day to 1st Australian Dermatological Hospital, Bulford; discharged to duty (non venereal), 12 February 1919.
