Distinguished Conduct Medal 'On 5 October, 1918, at Montbrehain, he, with a small party, charged an enemy machine gun post, and accounted for the crew of five. He then, under very heavy fire, gained touch with the flank of the next company, and, in conjunction with them, filled a dangerous gap.'
