Embarked Alexandria to join the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force, Gallipoli, 4 September 1915.

Admitted to 4th Field Ambulance, 30 October 1915 (influenza); transferred by HS 'Nevasa', 2 November 1915, and admitted to 19th General Hospital, Alexandria, 8 November 1915 (enteric fever); transferred to Cairo Hospital, 3 December 1915, and same day to No 3 Auxiliary Hospital, Heliopolis; to Enteric Camp, Port Said, 9 December 1915.

Commenced return to Australia from Suez on board HS 'Ulysses' for 3 months change, 3 January 1916; disembarked Fremantle, 29 January 1916.

Returned to duty, 5th Military District, Western Australia, 13 April 1916.

Re-embarked Fremantle on board HT 'Aeneas', 17 April 1916; rejoined Bn, in the field, France, 4 August 1916.

Killed in action, 28 February 1917.
