attack east of LE VERGUIER. He brought a message back through very heavy fire asking for more S.A.A., and then guided the party carrying the ammunition back to the guns. At this time the shelling was very severe, but Private RICHARDSON by his coolness and initiative succeeded in getting all the ammunition to its destination. His disregard for personal safety set a splendid example.'
