Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. On 24th October, 1917, near ZONNEBEKE, when carrying ammunition to his Battery a very heavy enemy barrage was encountered, during which several pack horses became bogged. Nothwithstanding the continued heavy shell fire and that two of his comrads were blown to pieces, Driver ROBERTSON worked on until he had got the horses out and finally delivered the ammunition to his guns. He showed a fine spirit and example of devotion to duty.'
